The people of Ugiri-Ike Autonomous Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo state, have every reason to shower encomiums on the Rebuild Imo administration of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.
Ihedioha-led-government in keeping to its electioneering promises, has put machineries in place to save Ugiri-Ike Autonomous Community from being cut-off from neighbouring communities by gully erosion.
Daily Nigerian Horn can authoritatively report that the governor may not be leaving any stone unturned in his determination in restoring smiles on the people’s faces.
The governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government Hon. Barr. Uche Onyeagucha, penultimate week, visited the erosion site at Ugiri-Ike autonomous community.
He therefore promised to wade into the erosion menace at Ugiri-Ike that is torturing the people of the community.
The people of the community in their separate remarks, commended Ihedioha for urgently responding to their SOS through their “worthy son and leader, Chief Victor Asams”.
They however described Asams as a divine blessing to Ugiri-Ike, adding that he has always used his contact to attract amenities such as roads, water e.t.c to the area.
According to them, Asams personally funded the construction of health centres, water schemes and built houses for homeless and indigent families; saying he has changed the history of Ugiri-Ike community for better.
