Youths of Obudi Agwa Autonomous Community in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state, deserve commendation for the role they played in the arrest of some herdsmen.
The herdsmen, Daily Nigerian Horn gathered, were caught with one of them carrying a sack of bullets.
According to the Traditional Ruler of the community, HRH Eze Ignatius Asor who confirmed this to newsmen in Owerri, added that the herdsmen invaded his kingdom.
The royal father said “some youths saw two of the herdsmen and called them.
One of them with a gun ran away and the other one was caught with a bag.
He told the youths that it was just garri. But when the youths forced the bag from him and opened it, they saw bullets. We are not happy about what is happening”.
He said the matter was reported to the police Area command, adding that “he even saw more than one thousand cows invading the community. They destroy our crops, causing pains to our people, especially the farmers”.
The Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Orlando Ikeokwu who confirmed the report on Tuesday, said the suspect has been arrested and detained while investigation is ongoing.
